Zerova Brings 1,440 kW MCS Dispenser to Europe

Zerova is debuting its MCS dispenser in Europe at IAA Transportation 2026, a fleet-satellite DC charging unit rated for up to 1,440 kW and 1,500 A of liquid-cooled output for heavy-duty trucks and buses.

Zerova is debuting its MCS dispenser in Europe at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, a fleet-satellite DC charging unit rated for up to 1,440 kW and 1,500 A of liquid-cooled output current per unit for heavy-duty trucks and buses. According to the release, the Zerova dispenser is built on the company’s DO360 and DZ480 power cabinet architecture and is designed to scale as adoption of the CharIN Megawatt Charging System standard grows across Europe’s freight and transit networks. The company says the launch comes as European fleet operators move toward megawatt-class charging for long-haul and depot-based commercial vehicles.

What Are the MCS Dispenser’s Specifications?

The dispenser operates as a fleet satellite unit fed by Zerova’s DO360 or DZ480 power cabinets, the company reports. Output voltage depends on the cabinet pairing:

  • DO360: 150–950 Vdc
  • DZ480: 200–950 Vdc

Each unit delivers up to 1,440 kW and 1,500 A of liquid-cooled output current. Zerova says the platform is designed to grow alongside the CharIN Megawatt Charging System standard, following the publication of the IEC TS 63379 connector specification earlier this year.

Fleet Depot and Highway Corridor Features

Zerova engineered the dispenser for commercial fleet charging at depots and along highway corridors, according to the release. Features include:

  • Cable: liquid-cooled, 16.4-ft (5 m) or 23-ft (7 m) length, compatible with MCS and CCS2 connectors
  • Display: 10.4-inch IK8-rated touchscreen
  • Authentication: RFID, QR code, Plug & Charge, and optional credit card payment through payment terminals
  • Backend integration: OCPP 1.6J and OCPP 2.0.1 support for charge point operator systems
  • Compliance: designed to meet CE requirements, including IEC 61851-1 and IEC 61851-23, for deployment across the EU and EEA

Extending Depot Experience to Megawatt Trucks

The company characterizes heavy-duty transport as one of the fastest-moving fronts in Europe’s electrification push, with truck OEMs and charge point operators working to stand up megawatt-capable corridors along major freight routes. Zerova says the MCS dispenser extends its depot and fleet charging experience, already deployed at scale across UK and European bus and coach operations, into the megawatt segment for trucks and long-haul coaches.
