The repair kits cover tasks such as replacing leaking coolant connections, repairing defective parking locks, changing speed or temperature sensors, and replacing drive shafts. Each kit contains all necessary spare parts and fastening elements, eliminating the need to remove the electric motor or axle drive. However, ZF Aftermarket emphasizes that only qualified technicians with proper training should perform these high-voltage repairs.

“Repair shops are seeing more electric cars and need spare parts to service them. As one of the leading producers of electric drives worldwide, ZF is now making its products available to the independent aftermarket in our region. We are excited to launch these specially compiled kits for 25 repair scenarios on electric axle drives,” said Mark Cali, Head of Independent Aftermarket, USC for ZF Aftermarket.

While electric motors generally experience less wear than traditional combustion engines, repairs can still be necessary after years of use. The 25 Electric Axle Drive Repair Kits are available for order, and detailed information on the kits and compatible vehicle models can be found in the ZF Aftermarket Online Product Catalog.

In addition to these kits, ZF Aftermarket has also introduced 10 new part numbers for TRW Brake Pads, extending coverage to over 2 million vehicles. This is part of the 255 new products launched for passenger vehicles in 2024 under the ZF, LEMFÖRDER, SACHS, TRW, and WABCO brands.
