The Volvo XC40 Recharge and S60 Recharge have clinched prestigious titles in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars. These awards spotlight the Volvo models as leaders in the luxury electric and hybrid categories, confirming their status as top choices for consumers seeking efficiency, quality, and value. The XC40 Recharge was hailed as the Best Luxury Electric SUV, while the S60 Recharge garnered the accolade of Best Luxury Plug-In Hybrid.

In determining the winners, U.S. News analyzed extensive data covering gas mileage, vehicle range, and pricing, alongside gathering opinions from the automotive press. Both Volvo models stood out for their exceptional blend of luxury, innovation, and sustainability.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge impresses with its robust design and eco-friendly performance. It offers variants like the Single Motor Extended Range and Twin Motor all-wheel drive, delivering between 248 and 402 horsepower. Its design is complemented by practical features such as large storage compartments and a removable waste bin, enhancing both comfort and functionality.

The Volvo S60 Recharge, assembled in Ridgeville, South Carolina, combines power with efficiency, boasting 455 horsepower and achieving up to 74 MPGe. It supports a zero-emission range of up to 41 miles when in Pure Mode, emphasizing Volvo’s dedication to environmental sustainability.

Both models are equipped with an advanced infotainment system developed in collaboration with Google, providing a user-friendly and integrated experience. With starting MSRPs of $52,450 for the XC40 Recharge and $51,950 for the S60 Recharge, these vehicles offer luxury electric driving within a competitive price range.
