The newly redesigned GV70 and Electrified GV70 embody Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy, featuring enhanced details such as a dual-weave mesh radiator grille and iconic two-line headlamps. Interiors have been refined with Genesis’ Korean-inspired design, known as the Beauty of White Space, to enhance driver and passenger experiences.
Exterior and Interior Updates
The exteriors of the GV70 models now feature intricate details that emphasize a bold design. The G-Matrix Crest Grille, tailored for both gas and electrified models, provides an upgraded, striking front look. Enhanced micro lens array (MLA) headlamps and redesigned 19″ and 21″ wheel options further accentuate the vehicles’ athletic side profiles.
Inside, Genesis introduces a 27-inch OLED display that merges the infotainment and driver information systems into one sleek horizontal layout. The new GV70 models offer ten different exterior colors and four Nappa leather interior options, while the Electrified GV70 features six exterior color choices and two interior themes.
Advanced Convenience Features
To improve the in-cabin experience, the 2026 GV70 series introduces enhanced voice recognition, allowing for easy control over features like HVAC settings and window positions. The models also support Over-the-Air updates to keep technology current and offer a Digital Key feature, enhancing vehicle access and control.
New for the 2026 model year, Terrain Mode allows drivers to select optimized modes for snow, mud, or sand conditions, adding versatility to the GV70’s utility capabilities. Enhanced driver assistance features include Hands-On Detection (HOD) and improved Lane Following Assist.
Driving Experience Enhancements
The redesigned GV70 includes new features that aim to deliver an elevated driving experience. The Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, with Beosonic technology, provides a rich, immersive audio experience. The Highway Body Motion Control system enhances comfort and stability by managing dampening forces during acceleration and braking, while Road Preview uses forward cameras to adjust suspension, ensuring an optimized ride.
Powertrain options include a 2.5L inline-4 turbo gasoline engine producing 300 horsepower and a 3.5L V6 twin-turbo engine generating up to 375 horsepower, maintaining Genesis’ commitment to offering fun-to-drive SUVs.
Electrified GV70 Features
The Electrified GV70 comes with a newly redesigned North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port, improved for easier access and equipped with lighting for better visibility at night. It includes a larger 84kWh battery, offering an extended range and greater flexibility for customers. An added heating element helps maintain charging efficiency in colder climates.
The Electrified GV70 comes standard with access to a nationwide network of over 36,000 NACS and CCS DC fast chargers, ensuring convenience and accessibility for EV owners.
Genesis Retail Network Growth
Genesis continues to expand its retail presence, with the opening of its 60th standalone U.S. retail facility. Recent additions include new locations in Washington State, Minnesota, Florida, and New York. Since 2021, the GV70 has been Genesis’ most popular model in North America, selling over 85,000 units.
In Canada, the Genesis brand is also thriving, with 10,673 vehicles sold and an expanding network of 30 distributors across the country, allowing more customers to experience Genesis’ unique purchasing and ownership experience.
