The 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland starts at $45,380 on the core grade and returns for its second model year with features and specifications unchanged. Toyota says the battery electric SUV produces 375 horsepower through standard all-wheel drive and carries a manufacturer-estimated driving range of up to 281 miles on all-season tires. Its starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price excludes the dealer processing and handling fee, and the company expects the vehicle to reach dealerships nationwide later this year.
Highlights
- $45,380 starting MSRP on the core grade, excluding dealer processing and handling
- 375 horsepower total system output with an estimated 4.5-second 0-60 mph time
- 281 miles of manufacturer-estimated range on all-season tires, dropping to 260 miles with available all-terrain tires
- 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery with a NACS port and 10% to 80% DC fast charging in roughly 30 minutes
Powertrain and All-Wheel Drive
The bZ Woodland places electric motors in front and rear eAxles and comes standard with X-MODE, an all-wheel-drive function Toyota says optimizes brake control and power delivery at the wheels for added traction. A related Grip Control function modulates motor power delivery at low speeds, developed to respond to road surface characteristics and hold a constant speed in adverse conditions.
The battery pack sits flat under the floor for a low center of gravity, and a battery cross-framing structure adds vehicle rigidity. Ground clearance measures 8.4 inches and towing capacity reaches 3,500 pounds. Features and specifications are otherwise carried over from the 2026 model year.

How Fast Does the bZ Woodland Charge?
The 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pairs with a NACS charging port for access to DC fast-charging stations across the United States. Toyota states DC fast charging runs from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes under ideal conditions, with battery pre-conditioning intended to improve fast-charging performance in cold weather.
Additional charging hardware and functions include:
- 11-kW onboard charger
- Plug & Charge capability with compatible networks, requiring an active Remote Connect trial or subscription and dependent on a 4G network
- Dual-voltage 120-240V home charging cable, standard
- J1772 and CCS1 charging adapters, standard
Design and Cargo Space
Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA battery-electric platform, the Woodland adds matte black overfenders and larger dimensions than the standard bZ SUV. Design and utility changes include:
- Nearly 6 inches of additional cargo length
- Nearly 1 inch of additional rear cargo height
- Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels with black aero covers
- Up to 74.3 cubic feet of rear cargo area with second-row seats folded flat
Exterior colors are Raven, Stepping Stone, Halo (an extra-cost color), Pavement, Steel and Trueno Blue. Interiors come in Stone Brown or Black SofTex trim.
Two Grades: AWD and Premium AWD
The bZ Woodland AWD grade includes roof rails, dual Qi-capable wireless device chargers, a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, heated power-adjustable and power-folding exterior mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, SofTex-trimmed seats, heated front and outboard rear seats, a heated steering wheel, Digital Key capability and a Smart Key System on all doors and the rear liftgate. All-terrain tires are available on both grades.
The Premium AWD grade adds a nine-speaker JBL audio system with subwoofer, ventilated front seats, a driver memory seat, auto-tilt side mirrors with memory settings, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink, front radiant foot and leg heaters, and a panoramic fixed-glass roof with power sunshade.
Multimedia and Connected Services
The 14-inch touchscreen runs Toyota Audio Multimedia, developed by the Texas-based Toyota Connected Technologies team. The base grade uses a six-speaker system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Interior technology includes dual Qi wireless charging, multiple USB-C ports, a 120V/1500W AC outlet in the rear cargo area, a top-mount Multi-Information Display and a 7-inch customizable LCD display showing speedometer, charge meter, power output and drive mode information.
Both grades carry five-year trials for Safety Connect, Service Connect and Remote Connect, plus a 30-day/3 GB Wi-Fi Connect trial, with further options such as Drive Connect available through Toyota Connected Services depending on grade. All are 4G network dependent and require a subscription after the trial period. The Toyota app, paired with an active Remote Connect trial or subscription, allows owners to check charging status, start or stop charging, locate charging stations and manage remote vehicle functions.
Safety Systems
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on both grades and includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams and Proactive Driving Assist. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, Safe Exit Alert and the Toyota Star Safety System are also fitted, along with a Panoramic View Monitor with Multi-Terrain Monitor and 360-degree overhead view.
Warranty Coverage
Toyota’s 36-month/36,000-mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to components other than normal wear and maintenance items, with 60-month coverage on the powertrain to 60,000 miles and on corrosion with no mileage limit. Electric Vehicle Driving Components, including the traction battery, are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. ToyotaCare covers factory-scheduled maintenance for one year or 10,000 miles and includes three years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage.
