AION Auto UK has appointed DHL Supply Chain to run parts logistics for its UK operation, opening with more than 1,250 part lines in stock. The arrangement covers storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution across DHL’s UK logistics network as the first AION V SUVs reach customers. AION says the two companies spent several months preparing the operation ahead of launch, and that it is now able to support next-day nationwide parts distribution to retailers, repairers, and accredited workshops.

- Around 25 dealer locations are expected by the end of 2026, rising to roughly 100 by 2030
- AION V pricing starts at £36,450 on-the-road (about $49,180)
Why Parts Availability Matters for a New Brand
Parts supply is a recurring obstacle for automakers entering an established market, and AION has framed the DHL appointment as a pre-emptive answer to it. The company reports that the ordering system supporting the operation is fully digitized, and that it was designed to reduce vehicle downtime.
Ben Hurford, Aftersales Director at AION Auto UK, said: “We know that a common concern for drivers considering a new brand is whether spare parts are readily available should the worst happen. Even before we sold our first car, we partnered with DHL to establish and stock up a dedicated UK parts warehouse so we can respond immediately when a workshop needs us to ship parts to them. With over 1,250 part lines available from day one, the warehouse facility is a reflection of our long-term investment in AION and its customers, because a brand that earns public trust will grow sustainably.”
How the Parts Operation Supports the Great 8 Package
The parts network underpins AION’s Great 8 Promise, the eight-year ownership package that bundles warranty, servicing, roadside assistance, and MOT cover — the UK’s annual roadworthiness inspection — as standard on every car.
Hurford added that the warranty element is central to the proposition: “That aftersales commitment also extends to our comprehensive eight-year warranty – part of the industry-leading AION Great 8 Promise – which provides reassurance beyond the offerings of our competitors, with extensive bumper-to-bumper coverage and transparency around any limitations.”
Those claims are the company’s own, and AION has not published servicing intervals, mileage caps, or coverage exclusions alongside this announcement.
DHL’s Position on the Partnership
Paul Stone, Managing Director, Manufacturing Logistics, DHL Supply Chain UK & Ireland, said: “We’re proud to support AION’s entry into the UK market and to bring our experience working with automotive manufacturers and new market entrants to this partnership. Fast, reliable access to parts is one of the most important factors in delivering a strong customer experience. By combining our warehousing expertise with rapid nationwide distribution, we’re helping AION build trust with retailers and customers from the very start.”
Dealer Network Expansion
AION expects its UK dealer network to reach around 25 locations by the end of 2026, with a target of approximately 100 by 2030. The AION V is currently sold through a growing network of official retailers across the country, priced from £36,450 on-the-road (about $49,180).
