Aston Martin’s eagerly awaited supercar, the Valhalla, is currently in its final validation testing phase. This groundbreaking mid-engined vehicle, slated to begin production in Q2 2025, combines advanced technology with exceptional performance to offer an unmatched driving experience. With only 999 units to be produced, the Valhalla is expected to become a highly sought-after collector’s piece, blending Formula 1®-inspired innovations with stunning design.
Key Highlights
- Powertrain: Features a 1079PS / 1100Nm plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system, integrating a custom 828PS 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors adding 251PS.
- Performance: Achieves a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h) and accelerates from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds.
- Technology: Introduces Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engine layout, a plug-in hybrid system, and a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) range.
- Exclusivity: Limited to a production run of 999 units, enhancing its rarity and appeal.

The Valhalla is undergoing extensive testing on both roads and tracks to meet Aston Martin’s rigorous standards. Development driver Darren Turner, a three-time Le Mans class winner, has been evaluating the car at the IDIADA proving ground in Spain and on UK roads. This testing phase focuses on refining critical components such as steering, active aerodynamics, thermal braking systems, and damper calibration.
Simon Newton, Director of Vehicle Performance and Attributes, highlighted the Valhalla’s unique engineering challenges. “With 1079PS and 1100Nm from the hybrid powertrain, extreme performance is assured,” he stated. “Perfecting this power for an outstanding supercar experience on road and track has required meticulous integration of active aerodynamics and control systems.”

Marking several milestones, the Valhalla is Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engined supercar, first plug-in hybrid, and first vehicle with dedicated EV range capability. It features the brand’s most powerful V8 engine to date—a bespoke 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8—paired with a new 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and electronic rear differential. Production begins in Q2 2025, promising to elevate the supercar landscape.
