Blink Charging Co. has entered a strategic collaboration with BetterFleet, a SaaS provider focused on EV fleet charging management. The partnership targets organizations operating electric fleets across government, utilities, transit, and logistics sectors.
Highlights
- Blink Charging and BetterFleet are collaborating to deliver integrated EV fleet charging management across North America.
- BetterFleet’s AI-driven platform uses digital twin technology to optimize vehicle selection, charging infrastructure, and route planning.
- The software integrates with multiple EV and charging hardware brands, including Blink’s existing fleet charging solutions.
- BetterFleet serves more than 200 fleets worldwide across mission-critical sectors.
How Digital Twin Technology Drives Fleet Optimization
BetterFleet’s platform creates a digital twin of a fleet operator’s vehicles, energy infrastructure, and routes. This model enables operators to optimize hardware selection, including EVs and charging stations, while reducing grid interconnection requirements.
Digital depot configurations feed directly into live operational systems. This ensures vehicles meet performance targets, asset utilization stays high, and incidents are resolved with minimal downtime.
Hardware-Agnostic Integration
BetterFleet’s software is designed to work with a range of EV and charging hardware. That includes Blink’s charging solutions already deployed by fleet operators across North America.
What Each Company Brings to the Table
Blink provides EV charging equipment, its proprietary cloud-based Blink Network, and end-to-end fleet charging services. BetterFleet contributes AI-enabled charge management and digital twin planning tools built for complex, mission-critical operations.
Daniel Hilson, BetterFleet CEO, said the collaboration gives operators the data and tools to scale electrification without operational disruption. He noted it combines complementary strengths to help public and private fleets reduce risk and improve deployment readiness.
Mike Battaglia, President and CEO at Blink, called the partnership part of a broader push to simplify EV adoption for corporate customers and fleet managers. He said the collaboration extends Blink’s support model from procurement through post-installation fleet management.
