The launch of the Neue Klasse platform signifies an intensified effort to increase circularity and reduce CO2 emissions. This strategy covers the entire vehicle life cycle, from supply chain through end of life.

The iX3 is manufactured at the BMW Group’s newest facility in Debrecen, Hungary. Normal operations at this specific site run without the use of fossil fuels.

  • Reduction: The product carbon footprint of the iX3 50 xDrive is 34 percent smaller than its predecessor over its full life cycle.
  • Break-even Point: When powered by the European electricity mix, the carbon footprint becomes smaller than a comparable combustion engine model after 13,358 miles (21,500 kilometers).
