Bollinger Motors, Inc., an electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, has announced James Taylor as the new CEO. Founder Robert Bollinger will continue as a board member and major shareholder. Additionally, Bryan Chambers has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer, and Siva Kumar to Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance.

James Taylor, a veteran automotive executive, has held leadership positions with Cadillac and Hummer and has extensive electric vehicle experience with companies like Electric Last Mile Solutions, Workhorse, Karma, SF Motors, and Mullen Automotive.

Bryan Chambers, with over 35 years in automotive leadership, joined Bollinger Motors in 2018 as Program Director and later became Chief Operating Officer. His previous positions include roles at Alternative Automotive Technologies, Saleen, MSX International, and Allied Signal.
Siva Kumar joined Bollinger Motors in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as CFO for Optimal EV and held positions at Skanda Capital, Ford Motor Company, Meritor, and Tenneco Automotive.
Bollinger Motors plans to launch the Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab in the second half of 2024. The vehicle is a battery-electric, zero-emissions Class 4 commercial truck designed with input from fleet and upfitter stakeholders. Its unique chassis design protects the 800-volt battery and components, offering unmatched capability, flexibility, and performance in the commercial market. Bollinger Motors recently qualified for federal clean vehicle purchasing incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act, providing $40,000 in refundable tax credits per truck.
Recent milestones for Bollinger Motors include:
- Receiving the Certificate of Conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency
- Securing sales of 80 vehicles to Momentum Groups and 50 vehicles to EnviroCharge
- Adding Nacarato Truck Centers, Nuss Truck & Equipment, and LaFontaine Auto Group as dealers and service centers
- Partnering with Our Next Energy for battery packs
- Collaborating with Roush Industries for vehicle assembly operations
- Engaging Syncron as its warranty administration partner
- Utilizing Amerit Fleet Solutions for mobile service
