ChargePoint Introduces Easy Home Charger Install

ChargePoint, a leader in EV charging solutions, has launched a new home installation service for its ChargePoint Home Flex residential charger. Available in the U.S., this service provides a seamless experience for customers, combining the charger purchase with a simple, affordable home installation. This new approach aims to streamline the setup process for electric vehicle (EV) drivers, offering a frictionless solution from purchase to installation.

Key Highlights:

  • All-in-one solution for purchasing and installing a ChargePoint Home Flex residential charger.
  • Immediate installation quote and date provided after answering just three questions online.
  • Certified installation partners eliminate the need for finding and vetting an electrician.

The new program, available exclusively on ChargePoint’s website, allows customers to receive an installation quote by answering just three simple questions about their home. This eliminates the hassle of finding an electrician or scheduling a separate pre-installation visit. Instead, ChargePoint partners with certified installation providers to ensure a smooth experience for EV drivers.

ChargePoint’s Chief Customer Experience Officer, JD Singh, emphasized the importance of convenience, stating, “Making charging easy for drivers, particularly first-time EV owners, is critical to the adoption of electric vehicles. This quotation and installation service, incorporated into the charger purchase, streamlines a traditionally cumbersome experience. ChargePoint now simplifies everything from quotation to installation with a single in-person touch point, the installation itself.”

The ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger, which has gained popularity as an Amazon best-seller in the U.S. and Canada, supports both indoor and outdoor installation. The charger features a 23-foot cable for flexible parking and charging configurations and can connect with Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri for voice control. Additionally, drivers can utilize the ChargePoint mobile app to schedule charging, adjust speed, and access over one million charging locations globally.

ChargePoint aims to make home charging accessible and convenient, supporting broader EV adoption through innovative services that cater to drivers’ needs.
