CUPRA has significantly increased the affordability of its pioneering electric vehicle (EV), the CUPRA Born, by implementing a £2,350 price reduction across its entire range. This strategic move aims to enhance EV accessibility for drivers in the UK, setting the starting price of the CUPRA Born at £34,125 for the V1 58kWh 204PS model. Alongside the price adjustment, CUPRA is streamlining the Born’s trim and battery options to offer a more straightforward selection to consumers.

In a bid to attract more customers, CUPRA is introducing a series of purchasing incentives for the first quarter. These include a complimentary Ohme home charger, a £750 pre-paid MasterCard, and favorable financing options such as 0% APR for 36 months or a £4,000 deposit contribution on 3.9% APR for 48 months. These offers are available for orders placed before specific deadlines in early 2024.

Located in Milton Keynes, CUPRA announced these adjustments on February 27, 2024, marking a significant step towards making its first fully electric model, the CUPRA Born, more accessible. The company is also simplifying its lineup by discontinuing the 58kWh 204PS across all trims, the 77kWh 230PS on the V2 trim, and both the V2 Edition and V3 Edition trims. Consequently, the range for new factory orders will consist of four main configurations, including the upcoming CUPRA Born VZ.

Following the price reduction, the entry-level price for a new factory order of a CUPRA Born has dropped to £35,085 for the V1 58kWh 230PS. This is lower than the previous pricing for the same battery capacity but with less power. Similarly, the starting price for the larger battery option has been reduced to £41,385 for the V3 77kWh 230PS, which is also below the former entry price for a V2 with the same specifications.

The £2,350 price cut applies to both new factory orders and orders from stock, including for trims and batteries that are no longer open for new orders. Details on the pricing for the CUPRA Born VZ will be announced in the near future.

To further enhance the appeal of the CUPRA Born to prospective EV buyers, the brand is offering an array of incentives. For orders placed before April 2, 2024, customers can benefit from 0% APR financing for 36 months or a £4,000 deposit contribution at a 3.9% APR for 48 months. In addition, every retail purchase made and handed over by March 31, 2024, will be accompanied by a complimentary Ohme home charger and a £750 pre-paid MasterCard.

Moreover, customers who place their orders before April 2, 2024, will receive a complimentary CUPRA eCare plan, which covers the first two years of servicing at an authorized CUPRA Retailer, underscoring CUPRA’s commitment to making electric driving more accessible and worry-free for UK drivers.
