Elywhere, a pioneer in Norwegian electric vehicle (EV) charging technology, announces the launch of its operations in North America, aiming to transform the EV charging landscape in the United States and Canada. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Elywhere North America (ENA) will collaborate closely with its Norwegian counterpart to introduce innovative charging solutions to the burgeoning North American market.
A hallmark of Elywhere’s approach is its deployment of high-power charging stations, featuring integrated batteries for rapid and efficient setup. These stations boast capabilities of up to 200 kW, offering users freedom from the limitations of establishing high-power grid connections. For demanding contexts, such as Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicles (HDEV), Elywhere’s technology can scale to support 1 MW power, presenting a significant boon for electric fleet operations.

In addition to charging services, Elywhere distinguishes itself through the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems. This innovation addresses grid support challenges, incorporating advanced energy flow management software to optimize grid performance. This is particularly beneficial in areas with weak or inconsistent power supplies, ensuring minimal impact and enhanced grid stability. To this end, ENA capitalizes on a strategic partnership with Pratexo, a leader in edge-to-cloud computing, for the intelligent management of power distribution.
Elywhere’s move into North America is bolstered by its success with the ES300 fast charging stations in Europe. “We’ve seen our solutions meet and exceed expectations in some of the most demanding locations across Europe, which gives us confidence in our North American venture,” says Anders Rudlang, CEO of Elywhere, Norway.
The leadership team of ENA, featuring CEO Erlend Wilhelmsen, CFO Daniel Alderman, and CCO John Brice, brings a wealth of experience to navigate the unique challenges of the North American market. “Recognizing the unique challenges of the US market early on, we knew Elywhere’s technology would be an excellent fit. Our operational expertise is now geared towards delivering these robust charging solutions across North America,” comments Erlend Wilhelmsen, CEO of Elywhere North America.
ENA’s services will be indispensable across various sectors, including energy and utilities, government and municipalities, as well as retail and convenience stores. The rise of electric vehicles in North America underscores the critical need for reliable and adaptable fast charging options.
The establishment of Elywhere North America marks a significant milestone in enriching the EV charging infrastructure across the continent and furthering Elywhere’s commitment to fostering a sustainable future through dependable charging and energy management solutions.
