Valeo, ZEborne Launch Autocharge for Private EV Charging

Valeo and ZEborne integrate badge-free Autocharge into Ineez Pro Smart chargers for French workplace fleets and apartment buildings, aligning private charging with EU Plug & Charge standards.

Valeo and ZEborne have integrated an Autocharge function into Ineez Pro Smart charging stations. The feature targets workplace fleets and apartment buildings in France. Users simply plug in their vehicle to start a session — no badge or app required. The companies call it a first for the French private charging market.

Highlights

  • Badge-free charging: The Autocharge function eliminates the need for apps, badges, or manual authentication at private charging stations.
  • Fleet and building focus: The system targets corporate fleets and residential co-ownership parking facilities.
  • ISO 15118-2 alignment: The feature mirrors Plug & Charge principles required on public chargers under EU AFIR regulation since January 2026.
  • Live rollout underway: ZEborne has integrated Autocharge into its fleet management platform (ZMS) and is deploying the system across its own sites.

How Autocharge Works

The system uses the vehicle’s electric vehicle communication controller ID (EVCCID) for secure identification. When a driver plugs in, the charger authenticates the vehicle automatically. It then triggers the session and routes billing to the correct contract — personal or professional.

This removes common pain points for fleet managers. Lost badges, forgotten credentials, and manual app logins are no longer part of the process.

Bridging Private and Public Charging Standards

The European AFIR regulation now requires ISO 15118-2 for Plug & Charge on public stations. Valeo and ZEborne are applying the same automatic identification principles to private infrastructure. The goal is a consistent user experience across locations.

As a result, drivers get the same plug-and-go process at a highway service station, an office garage, or a residential parking facility.

Isabelle D’Ambrosio Pierre, Vice President of Valeo Service OES and VP of Smart Mobility at Valeo, said: “With the integration of Autocharge into our Ineez Pro Smart charging stations, Valeo is taking a key step towards completely intuitive charging. By making identification transparent, we are offering fleet managers and co-owners a solution that combines absolute comfort and optimal security.”

ZEborne Brings Installation and Fleet Management Expertise

ZEborne has partnered with Valeo since 2023. The company has installed more than 148,000 charging solutions in France and supervises over 7,100 charging points. It operates from offices in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Mont-de-Marsan, and Nivelles, Belgium.

Vartang Beguiachvili, Managing Director of ZEborne France and Benelux, said: “Since 2011, we have been supporting car manufacturers and equipment suppliers in the development of charging technologies, which is helping to democratise electric vehicles. The innovation brought about by the ‘Autocharge’ feature offers a unique experience with simplified, secure and fully automated charging.”

Flotauto Trade Show Debut

The Autocharge-equipped Ineez Pro Smart station will be presented at the Flotauto trade show on March 12 at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre. ZEborne will host a demonstration at Stand C77 at 11:30 a.m.
