Evolt Charging Selects AMPECO for UK Platform Upgrade

Evolt Charging partners with AMPECO to launch e.Connect+, upgrading its UK charging management platform with AI capabilities and hardware-agnostic tools across 10,000+ charge points.

Evolt Charging has partnered with AMPECO to power its next-generation charging management platform across the UK. The collaboration will replace Evolt’s existing e.Connect system with e.Connect+, built on AMPECO’s software. Evolt currently manages more than 10,000 charge points nationwide, serving 400,000 EV drivers and processing over three million sessions annually.

Highlights

  • Platform upgrade: Evolt will migrate to AMPECO’s software to launch e.Connect+, replacing its existing e.Connect charging management system.
  • Scale of operations: Evolt manages 10,000+ charge points across the UK for public networks, fleets, depots, and commercial environments.
  • AI-driven capabilities: e.Connect+ will include automated fault resolution, failed authentication analysis, and session anomaly detection.
  • Hardware-agnostic approach: The platform supports management across Evolt’s full charging estate regardless of hardware manufacturer.

Why Evolt Chose AMPECO

Evolt, a brand of SWARCO Smart Charging, conducted a strategic review of its software architecture before selecting AMPECO. The company cited the platform’s flexibility across operating models, open extensibility, and long-term development roadmap as deciding factors.

“After 15 years supporting the UK EV market, we’ve seen the expectations placed on charging solution providers increase significantly,” said Justin Meyer, Managing Director at SWARCO Smart Charging.

“Our business offers a wide range of innovative charging solutions and services which provide specific functionality for the different strategic market sectors we serve,” Meyer explained. “That diversity is one of our key strengths, but it demands a platform capable of accommodating different operating models and system integration requirements simultaneously.”

What e.Connect+ Delivers

AMPECO’s platform brings several core capabilities to Evolt’s operations. These include hardware-agnostic management across the full charging estate, dynamic load management for depot and commercial sites, multi-operator management, and open APIs for tailored integrations.

Evolt’s software team will use those APIs to build custom real-time dashboards for operators and direct data access tools for specific client requirements. Additionally, the platform integrates AI tools for automated fault resolution and session anomaly detection.

Serving Complex Charging Environments

Evolt operates as a full-turnkey EV charging partner. Its services span design, consultation, hardware supply, installation, field maintenance, network management, and driver support. The company serves local authorities, fleet operators, destination charging sites, motorway service providers, and charge point operators.

The partnership addresses a broader market shift. As UK EV deployments scale, infrastructure providers face growing demands for integrated management, operational visibility, and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

AMPECO’s Global Footprint

AMPECO supports more than 190 charging network operators across over 70 markets worldwide. Its client base ranges from energy utilities and large-scale charge point operators in Europe to networks across North America, Australia, the Middle East, Latin America, and New Zealand.

“It is a great honour to support Evolt, a leader in the UK’s EV charging space. Working with such an experienced operator helps us stay laser-focused on solving the pain points of large-scale providers and developing features with a real impact at scale,” said Stefan Ivanov, Chief Revenue Officer at AMPECO.
