Genesis Motor UK has revealed full specifications for the GV60 Magma, the brand’s first high-performance electric model. The dual-motor EV produces 650 PS from an 84 kWh battery and reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. A pre-production model is currently on display at the Genesis Studio in Battersea, London, through the end of March. First customer deliveries are planned for the second half of 2026.
Highlights
- 650 PS dual-motor powertrain with 84 kWh battery, 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and 164 mph top speed
- Dedicated SPRINT and GT driving modes accessed via a new Magma button, plus extended 15-second Boost mode
- Upgraded braking system with front monoblock calipers, 400 mm discs, and GG-rated rear friction materials
- UK deliveries expected H2 2026 with order books opening soon at genesis.com/uk/en/

Exterior Design and Aerodynamics
The GV60 Magma sits 20 mm lower and 50 mm wider in track than the standard GV60. These changes improve aerodynamic efficiency and give the vehicle a more aggressive stance. Additionally, the front bumper features side canard wings and integrated air vents that channel airflow around the wheels.
A triple-vent design at the front integrates the forward-facing camera while improving cooling. At the rear, a wing-type spoiler and dedicated bumper enhance high-speed stability. The model rides on 21-inch forged wheels fitted with Pirelli tires and Magma Orange brake calipers. Distinctive side skirts also contribute to aerodynamic performance at speed.

Interior and Driver-Focused Cabin
Inside, the GV60 Magma features 10-way electrically adjustable suede bucket seats. Buyers can choose between Magma orange contrast stitching or ash white stitching. Aluminum trim accents appear throughout the cabin.
The steering wheel includes Magma-exclusive elements:
- Distinct ring design with black emblem
- Orange accent detailing
- Dedicated Magma button for direct access to performance driving modes

Powertrain and Performance Modes
The dual-motor setup draws from an 84 kWh battery to produce a combined 478 kW (650 PS and 790 Nm). Ultra-fast charging capability allows a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes. Five driving modes are available in total, including two Magma-specific settings.
SPRINT mode targets peak performance in controlled environments such as a track. In contrast, GT mode prioritizes comfort and efficiency for high-speed cruising. Boost mode has been extended to 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds on current GV60 and Electrified GV70 models. Launch Control is also included, delivering optimal starting torque without requiring the driver to press the boost button.

Suspension and Braking Upgrades
Genesis refined the suspension geometry to lower the roll center for improved cornering stability. The system uses Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) and End-of-Travel (EoT) control. Key components include:
- Hydro G-Bushes in the front suspension
- Dual-layer bushings in the rear crossmember
- Front monoblock calipers with 400 mm discs
- GG-rated high-friction materials on the rear brakes
These changes reduce vibrations and improve ride comfort while maintaining control under high cornering loads.

Technology and Sound Systems
A 27-inch panoramic connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) serves as the central display. It combines infotainment and driver information in a single screen. The system provides access to Virtual Gear Shift (VGS), Drift Mode, and High-Performance Battery Control (HPBC).
A 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system handles both entertainment and performance sound architecture. The Active Sound Design+ (e-ASD+) system synchronizes interior and exterior acoustics. With VGS engaged, the system simulates the tone of a high-performance V6 engine. When VGS is off, the sound profile shifts to EV-specific characteristics.
Availability
The GV60 Magma pre-production model is on display at the Genesis Studio Battersea through March 2026. Order books will open soon, and customers can register interest at genesis.com/uk/en/ or through a local Genesis retailer.
Ben Sargeant, Director of Genesis and Customer Strategy at Genesis Motor UK, said the GV60 Magma represents the brand’s first step into high-performance EVs and signals a new direction for the company.
