Giti Tire's GitiSynergy H3 has secured OE nominations on the all-electric BMW iX1 and iX2. The 245/40 R20 99Y XL tire records the top EU rolling-resistance label rating of A.

Giti Tire’s GitiSynergy H3 has secured original-equipment (OE) nominations on the all-electric BMW iX1 and iX2, supplied in a single dedicated size, 245/40 R20 99Y XL. The company says the GitiSynergy H3 records the highest EU Rolling Resistance label rating of A and was engineered specifically for the two compact electric SAVs. The tire carries the star symbol on its sidewall, the mark of BMW Group approval under the automaker’s OE specifications.

Highlights

  • OE nominations on the all-electric BMW iX1 and iX2, supplied in size 245/40 R20 99Y XL.
  • Giti reports the tire records the highest EU Rolling Resistance label rating of A, with very low rolling resistance and noise, extended wear life, and an aerodynamic sidewall design.
  • The GitiSynergy H3 is Giti’s third BMW Group OE fitment, following the BMW 1 Series (GitiWinter W2) and the BMW Group MINI (GitiSynergy H2).

A Dedicated Tire for BMW’s Electric Compacts

The GitiSynergy H3 is a dedicated OE pattern developed to meet BMW Group’s targets for performance and sustainability. Giti reports very low rolling resistance and noise, extended wear life, and an aerodynamic sidewall design, along with the top EU Rolling Resistance label rating of A. The star symbol on the sidewall signals BMW Group approval under the manufacturer’s OE specifications.

Nicolas Kluson, Key Account Manager Europe OE for Giti Tire, said: “The OE Homologation List from BMW Group demanded a low rolling resistance tyre with no compromise on handling characteristics. Not only has the GitiSynergy H3 met all these criteria, but it has delivered impressive sustainability credentials.”

“The new tyre was specially developed for this project and represents a major milestone for our business. As environmental credentials become just as important as performance—for both vehicle manufacturers and their customers—we will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.”

A Growing BMW Group Relationship

The nomination is Giti’s third OE win with BMW Group. The earlier fitments covered the BMW 1 Series and the BMW Group MINI.
