Green SM has launched a fully electric taxi service in Copenhagen, its first operation in Europe, running a fleet of VinFast VF 6 and VF 8 vehicles. The Vietnamese operator moved into the Danish capital after building out services across six Asian markets since 2023. Riders book through the Green SM app, which displays fares before a trip is confirmed and issues electronic receipts at the end of each journey.

Fleet and Operating Model
Green SM owns and manages its Danish fleet directly and oversees driver operations, a structure the company says supports consistent service quality and customer experience. That distinguishes it from ride-hailing platforms that primarily match passengers with independent drivers.
The company says its initial phase in Denmark will focus on establishing a reliable local operation, meeting Danish regulatory requirements, and adjusting service based on feedback from customers, drivers and other stakeholders. The VinFast VF 8 serves alongside the smaller VF 6 in the launch fleet.
Why Copenhagen First?
Green SM selected Copenhagen as its European entry point and says it aims to complement the city’s existing transport network with an additional fully electric option for residents and visitors.

The launch ceremony drew Do Quang Thai, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Kingdom of Denmark, along with representatives from 3F, Dansk Erhverv, DPT and Carnegie Investment Bank, plus partners from the transport, technology, energy, finance and infrastructure sectors.
Driver Training and Launch Pricing
Every driver completes training in road safety, customer service, operating procedures and electric vehicle operation before carrying passengers, according to the company, which pairs that with ongoing training and a local operations system.
To mark the Copenhagen launch, Green SM is giving new customers five vouchers worth 25% off each trip, with the discount capped at 100 DKK (about $15) per ride. The Grand Launch period runs through September 30, 2026.

Founded in Vietnam in 2023, Green SM currently operates in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Kazakhstan. The company characterizes its international strategy as prioritizing well-structured local operations and market adaptation over rapid expansion, and says its all-electric fleet and low-emission model are intended to support Denmark’s sustainable mobility goals.
