In a significant milestone, IONNA has doubled its charging network by opening six new Rechargeries in April. This expansion brings the total number of operational sites to 12, equipped with 120 charging bays. These new locations enhance accessibility for EV drivers nationwide.
Furthermore, IONNA is constructing 15 additional Rechargeries, bringing the total number of sites either open or under construction to 27, spanning 14 states. This rapid development highlights IONNA’s commitment to a robust charging infrastructure.
Looking ahead, IONNA has secured contracts for over 200 sites, a substantial increase from the 100 sites announced earlier this year. This will add over 2,000 charging bays, boosting capacity and coverage significantly.
To make charging more affordable, IONNA has introduced Friends & Family pricing. This allows all users to enjoy discounted charging rates at any IONNA station, without subscriptions or fees, encouraging more drivers to utilize the network.
IONNA is also collaborating with its founding automakers to offer free charging credits at its stations. Eligible EV owners from brands like BMW, General Motors, and others can apply these credits, enhancing the value of their vehicle purchases.
The user experience is improved through seamless integration with automakers’ apps and systems. For example, BMW drivers can use the My BMW App with Plug & Charge already live, while General Motors rolls out similar features in Q2.
New Rechargeries offer more than just charging, featuring canopies, 24/7 availability, and 400kW charging, alongside restrooms and food options. The Garner, NC Rechargery Market provides a unique shopping experience.
IONNA is targeting California next, starting with the Vista, CA Rechargery Relay. More locations will follow, supporting urban and long-distance EV travel.
With these advancements, IONNA is on track to deploy 30,000 charging bays by 2030, redefining the EV charging experience with technology, amenities, and exceptional service.
