Iveco Group N.V. is taking center stage at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, Germany, from September 17th to 22nd. The Group, through its brands IVECO and FPT Industrial, is showcasing its multi-energy approach to commercial vehicles with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Iveco introduces new battery electric vehicles and highlights its advancements in hydrogen and alternative fuel technologies, reinforcing its commitment to a zero-emission future.

  • Showcasing a diverse energy portfolio: IVECO displays vehicles powered by various energy sources including HVO, natural gas, bio-methane, electricity, and hydrogen.
  • Global premieres of electric vehicles: Introduction of two new Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs): the S-eWay heavy-duty truck and the eMoovy light chassis cab.
  • Innovative technology in electric mobility: The S-eWay truck offers up to 400 km range and 200 km additional autonomy in under 45 minutes, while the eMoovy delivers rapid charging with 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.
  • Hydrogen internal combustion engines: FPT Industrial introduces new hydrogen-powered engine prototypes and hybrid systems for heavy-duty transport.
  • Advanced services: New on-board technologies, AI-driven services, and enhanced customer financing options, including IVECO PAY and innovative long-term rental solutions through GATE.

New Vehicle Innovations and Global Premieres

IVECO’s display at IAA 2024 features an extended range of multi-energy-powered vehicles, underlining the brand’s commitment to sustainable transport solutions. Among the highlights are the global debuts of two new Battery Electric Vehicles:

  • S-eWay heavy-duty truck: This fully electric vehicle offers a driving range of up to 400 km, with fast-charging capabilities that provide an additional 200 km in less than 45 minutes. It is equipped with an FPT Industrial electric axle and offers a total energy capacity of up to 490 kWh, designed for urban and regional use.
  • eMoovy light chassis cab: Targeting urban delivery tasks, this vehicle offers a range of up to 320 km and leads its class in charging speed, adding 100 km of autonomy in under 10 minutes. The eMoovy is a result of the partnership between Iveco Group and Hyundai Motor Company.

Commitment to Zero-Carbon Future

Iveco Group continues to pursue a technology-neutral, multi-energy approach to support the shift to zero-emission transport. This strategy includes a variety of propulsion options tailored to different customer needs, ranging from natural gas to hydrogen and electric vehicles. At IAA, a prototype of the S-Way truck equipped with a Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine and a hybrid heavy-duty truck concept featuring a hydrogen-powered range extender are on display, showcasing FPT Industrial’s innovations in alternative fuels.

Enhanced Services for Customers

Both IVECO and FPT Industrial are also showcasing a variety of enhanced services designed to improve customer experience. These include advanced infotainment systems, real-time driver information, and AI-powered services like predictive diagnostics and driver health monitoring. Financial services are also in focus, with IVECO CAPITAL offering solutions such as vehicle financing, insurance, and the launch of new services like IVECO PAY and Premium Protect insurance, specifically designed for the German market.
