Keysight Technologies, Inc. has expanded its end-of-line (EOL) test portfolio with the introduction of two new solutions. The company launched the EV2020B EV Manufacturing Functional Test Platform and the EV2020BE EV Manufacturing Functional Test Platform for EVSE. These solutions offer automakers and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturers a scalable and flexible approach to production testing, designed to accelerate time-to-market, lower costs, and ensure readiness for evolving industry standards.
Key Highlights
- Introduction of the EV2020B and EV2020BE EOL test platforms.
- Solutions are designed for automakers and EVSE manufacturers.
- Aims to streamline production testing, accelerate market entry, and reduce expenses.
- Provides a standardized, unified solution to address fragmented system architectures.
- Ensures long-term investment protection with a scalable, future-proof architecture.
Meeting Accelerating Market Demand
The global demand for electric vehicles is rising rapidly, with forecasts predicting that EVs will account for over 40% of all car sales by 2030. To meet this demand, manufacturers are accelerating development but face significant challenges. These hurdles include fragmented system architectures, a lack of standardization in charging interfaces, uncertainty about future trends, and the high capital expenditure required for testing.

Keysight’s expanded EOL portfolio directly confronts these issues by providing a unified solution that simplifies integration across various power conversion systems, such as DC-DC converters, on-board chargers, and EVSE. The new platforms offer manufacturers the ability to innovate confidently across electrification domains.
Advanced Functional Test Platforms
The new portfolio includes two specialized platforms designed for specific manufacturing needs.
The EV2020B EV Manufacturing Functional Test Platform is built to adapt to the evolving requirements of EV manufacturers. It offers customizable configurations for testing components like DC-DC converters and on-board chargers. The platform’s flexibility and comprehensive toolsets enable manufacturers to validate performance and streamline production within a single, scalable solution.
The EV2020BE EV Manufacturing Functional Test Platform for EVSE is engineered to streamline the testing of charging equipment. It supports both AC and DC charging standards in a unified platform, reducing operational complexity. Its modular charging interface allows for rapid changeovers to minimize production downtime. Additionally, it features dynamic power sharing for dual-gun EVSE simulation, enabling the emulation of peak load conditions to validate performance.
A Unified Ecosystem for Innovation
“Electrification is reshaping the automotive landscape, and manufacturers need more than just tools, they need confidence,” stated Thomas Goetzl, Vice President and General Manager for Keysight’s Automotive & Energy Solutions. “With our expanded end-of-line portfolio, we’re not just enabling functional testing, we’re delivering a unified ecosystem that bridges R&D and manufacturing.”
Keysight’s solutions are designed to provide a seamless experience from research and development through manufacturing. By aligning early design validation with production testing, the company establishes a consistent ecosystem of tools and workflows. This approach empowers manufacturers to innovate with greater speed and precision.
