Leapmotor International, a collaboration between Stellantis and Leapmotor, is set to expand its electric vehicle (EV) operations globally, starting in Europe by September 2024. With a strong focus on innovative technology and comprehensive in-house development capabilities, the partnership aims to quickly boost scale and drive value for both companies. The initial launch will feature 200 sales points across nine European countries, with plans to extend operations to India, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America by late 2024.

Leapmotor’s Strategic Expansion
Headquartered in Amsterdam, the venture is led by CEO Tianshu Xin, formerly of Stellantis China. This new entity will introduce Leapmotor’s T03 and C10 models in Europe, followed by a broader rollout in other key regions.
In October 2023, Stellantis invested approximately €1.5 billion to acquire a 21% equity stake in Leapmotor. This partnership grants Leapmotor International exclusive rights for the export, sale, and manufacturing of Leapmotor products outside Greater China. The collaboration aims to boost Leapmotor’s sales in China while leveraging Stellantis’ global commercial presence to accelerate sales in other regions.

Leapmotor C10 and T03 Models
The Leapmotor C10 is designed to global standards, featuring the self-developed LEAP3.0 technology architecture. This D-segment vehicle offers a 420 km WLTP range, 5-star E-NCAP rating, and a premium ride experience. It recently won the 2024 Gold Award from the French Design Awards.
The Leapmotor T03, an A-segment urban commuter car, features a 265 km WLTP range and ranks first in the JD Power Initial Quality Study for small BEVs. This stylish and practical vehicle provides B-segment interior space, making it a top choice for urban driving.
