Lucid Air Tops NAF Winter Test With 520-Kilometer Range

Lucid Air Grand Touring achieved 520 km at the 2026 NAF Winter Test in Norway, outpacing competitors by 99 km in record cold conditions of minus 31°C.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring recorded the longest range among 24 vehicles at the 2026 NAF Winter Test in Norway. The sedan covered 520 kilometers without a charging stop during the coldest test conditions on record, with temperatures dropping to minus 31 degrees Celsius. The second-place vehicle achieved 421 kilometers.

Highlights

  • 520 km achieved in extreme cold (-31°C) on snowy Norwegian roads from Oslo to highland routes
  • 99 km advantage over the nearest competitor’s 421 km result
  • WLTP efficiency rating of 13.5 kWh/100 km enables up to 960 km combined range under standard conditions
  • Fast-charging capability adds 400 km of range in 16 minutes

Test Conditions and Route

The NAF (Norges Automobil-Forbund) Winter Test, branded “El Prix,” evaluates EV range and charging performance under Nordic winter conditions. The route spans city traffic in Oslo, mountain roads through Lillehammer and Dombås, highways, and secondary roads. Vehicles repeat the final stretch between Hjerkinn and Rondane Gjestegård until they can no longer maintain the speed limit.

This marked Lucid’s first participation in the biannual evaluation, which Motor magazine co-organizes as Norway’s largest real-world EV assessment.
