Lucid has begun rolling out Air UX 3.0, a major software update for the Lucid Air, over the air to model year 2025 and newer vehicles, while eligible 2022, 2023, and some 2024 models need a $950 infotainment processor upgrade to run it. According to the company, Air UX 3.0 is modeled on the interface introduced in Lucid Gravity and reworks navigation, media, profiles, and vehicle controls so commonly used features are easier to reach. The update ships as part of Software Version 2.11.0, and owners who install that version receive the new interface automatically.

Which Lucid Air Vehicles Get Air UX 3.0?
Model year 2025 and newer Air vehicles receive the update over the air, and the company says Air UX 3.0 comes standard on the 2027 Lucid Air. Owners of model year 2022, 2023, and some 2024 vehicles must first install the infotainment processor upgrade through a Lucid service appointment.
Lucid prices that upgrade at $950 in the United States, including installation and excluding applicable taxes. Pricing for other markets has not yet been released. Owners can contact Lucid Customer Care to confirm eligibility and availability. The company notes that feature availability and functionality may vary by vehicle configuration, model year, market, and connected services.

Redesigned Home Screen and Quick Controls
The update redesigns the Home experience on the Right Cockpit Panel around swipeable cards that surface frequently used functions. From those cards, owners can control media, adjust vehicle controls, make calls, route to saved home or work destinations, and find nearby charging stops. When certain features are active, temporary cards appear on the Home screen, and a swipe opens the full app on the Pilot Panel.
New Quick Controls let drivers swipe down from the top of the Pilot Panel to reach frequently used settings. Lucid says drivers can also move more smoothly among navigation, media, vehicle controls, and apps across the Cockpit and Pilot Panel displays.
Profile, Security, and Entry Changes
- Faster profile switching between recognized drivers.
- Primary profile control over keys linked to other profiles.
- Guest profile reset made simpler, with a PIN required to exit the Guest profile.
- Six-digit PIN authentication for added security.
- Easy Entry & Exit now moves the driver’s seat relative to each driver’s saved seat position, according to Lucid.
How Does Air UX 3.0 Handle EV Routing?
Navigation moves to an updated dual-screen layout that adds Favorites and Auto Dark Mode, features the company says were previously limited to Lucid Gravity. For trip planning, drivers can tailor EV routing around three settings:
- Preferred charging networks for charging stops
- Charging adapter compatibility, including stations that require a Lucid-approved adapter
- Minimum range upon arrival at the destination
Expanded Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Lucid says Air UX 3.0 improves the performance and reliability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and expands both across the full right side of the Cockpit Display. The larger area gives drivers more room for calls, music apps, directions, and messages. Both wireless and USB connections are supported. Each platform requires a compatible phone and an active data plan.
