Mullen Automotive Taps Amerit for National Service and Warranty Support

What’s Happening

Mullen Automotive, Inc., a rising contender in the electric vehicle (EV) market, recently revealed its selection of Amerit Fleet Solutions as the nationwide service and warranty provider. Amerit will support Mullen’s burgeoning commercial vehicle range, comprising the Mullen CAMPUS – EV Cargo Van, the Mullen ONE – Class 1 EV Van, and the Mullen THREE – Class 3 EV Cab Chassis Truck programs.

Why It Matters

This decision by Mullen Automotive signifies the brand’s strategic drive to ensure comprehensive service and warranty coverage for their commercial EV line-up. As the electric vehicle market continues to grow, reliable service and warranty support is critical to build consumer confidence and market penetration.

Key Points

Mullen Automotive has so far secured $279 million in purchase orders for their Class 1 and Class 3 EV Vans and Trucks from the Randy Marion Automotive Group. Based in North Carolina, Randy Marion is one of the largest commercial vehicle dealer groups in the United States and serves as the distributor for all of Mullen’s commercial EVs nationwide. Mullen anticipates launching its Class 3 vehicles soon, with the first round of deliveries scheduled for August and September 2023.

Amerit is set to provide nationwide fleet service and warranty repair work for the Mullen CAMPUS EV Van, the Mullen ONE, and the Mullen THREE. Ahead of the program launch, Amerit will collaborate closely with Mullen’s commercial product team and vehicle technicians in Troy, Michigan, and Tunica, Mississippi. They’ll work together to establish service protocols and ensure proper training for Mullen’s commercial vehicles.

Bottom Line

Both Amerit and Mullen Automotive expressed their confidence in this partnership. Dan Williams, CEO of Amerit, praised his team of over 1,800 highly skilled vehicle service technicians across the U.S., assuring Mullen of their commitment to delivering excellent service. On the other hand, John Schwegman, Chief Commercial Officer of Mullen Automotive, acknowledged Amerit as an excellent fit for their commercial vehicle servicing needs. Mullen’s CEO and Chairman, David Michery, noted that each strategic move aims to ensure the viability of their Class 1 and Class 3 vehicles – from sales and service to warranty and overall vehicle support. This move reflects Mullen’s intention to create a well-rounded and well-supported electric vehicle offering.
