The zappi GLO aims to significantly simplify the EV charging experience for users. Its core is its state-of-the-art eco-smart functionality, which includes standard features like automated solar compatibility and pre-configured energy tariff integration. This design allows users to potentially charge their vehicles more affordably and with a greater reliance on renewable energy sources.

Control of the single-phase device is handled exclusively through the intuitive myenergi app. Through the app, users can opt for a simple plug-and-charge operation or explore various toggle options to adjust settings, set charging timers, monitor performance in real-time, and optimize device performance for greener, cheaper, and smarter charging. Furthermore, the zappi GLO is designed with next-generation capabilities, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with third-party energy applications.
For households with multiple electric vehicles or for shared charging environments, the zappi GLO incorporates tap-to-charge functionality utilizing RFID technology. This system ensures secure access for up to 126 unique users, with individual identification for straightforward tracking of energy consumption and charging history—a feature particularly beneficial for multi-car settings or businesses offering charging amenities.
Manufactured in the UK, the zappi GLO is engineered for intelligent control and seamless smart integration. It includes Grid Protection functionality and is fully compatible with Gridpay, an exclusive myenergi service that rewards households for supporting the energy grid during peak demand times or for using excess supply during quieter periods. This innovative charger forms an integral part of myenergi’s comprehensive home energy management system (HEMS), an integrated network of eco-smart solutions. This system is designed to provide households with total control over their energy usage, alongside the flexibility to switch to the most beneficial smart energy tariffs.
myenergi has also prioritized a streamlined experience for installation professionals. The zappi GLO is engineered for rapid installation and simple commissioning. Installers can benefit from myenergi’s all-new Assistant App, which offers a step-by-step solution designed to optimize fitting speed and guarantee replicability. This tool helps streamline workflow efficiencies and maximize operational productivity. The Assistant App is accessible through the myenergi Installer Centre, which also provides additional tools such as automatic lead generation for installers participating in the Product Champion Scheme.
According to Andrew Clint, Group CEO at myenergi, the zappi GLO “represents the future of plug-and-go charging technology – effortless operation, eco-smart capability, out-of-the-box tariff integration and unmatched functionality without the complexity.” He further noted that the device, born out of customer feedback, aligns with the market’s desire for charging simplicity while still delivering powerful and intelligent functionality.
The zappi GLO is available as a 7kW single-phase plug-and-go device, complete with a 6.5m tethered Type 2 cable. Pre-orders for the unit were accepted prior to its dispatch, which commenced on June 1, 2025. The charger supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and local radio communication. It is an IP-rated unit that features impact resistance, tamper detection, and integrated 6mA DC fault protection. For users who prefer on-device control and the advanced functionality it offers, the myenergi zappi 2.1 remains available as an alternative.
