This alliance comes as China’s NEV market surges, with production and sales topping 12 million units in 2024. The rapid shift to EVs has intensified the need for reliable charging infrastructure, making partnerships like this critical. NaaS’s AI-driven tools, including its NaaS Energy Fintech (NEF) system, optimize charging efficiency and station profitability, while Xiaomi Auto’s integration enhances accessibility for its growing user base. This collaboration aligns with both companies’ goals to support sustainable mobility and China’s carbon reduction efforts.
NaaS has already built a robust ecosystem, partnering with major automakers like BYD and NIO, and connecting with digital mapping and shared mobility platforms. Its NEF system uses AI for smart site selection, pricing, and operations, serving over 13 million transaction users by Q3 2024. Xiaomi Auto, a key player in Xiaomi Group’s smart mobility vision, benefits from this network to deliver superior aftersales service—a competitive edge in the crowded EV market.
Ms. Yang Wang, Chief Executive Officer of NaaS, stated: “This collaboration not only enhances the charging experience for Xiaomi Auto owners but also reflects both companies’ shared commitment to innovation and user-centric solutions.” Meanwhile, Mr. Steven Sim, Chief Financial Officer, added: “By combining NaaS’s AI-powered technology with Xiaomi, we aim to deliver seamless, efficient charging services that meet the needs of today’s NEV drivers.” Together, NaaS and Xiaomi Auto are setting a new standard for intelligent, user-focused EV charging in China.
