Porsche has officially introduced its second all-electric model, the new Macan, marking a significant shift in the automotive industry. This latest addition to Porsche’s lineup showcases a powerful blend of E-Performance and practicality, suitable for a range of terrains and daily use. The Macan Electric Models boast impressive specifications, including an electric power consumption of 21.1 – 17.9 kWh/100 km and a combined electric range of 516 – 613 km, extending to 665 – 784 km in urban settings.
A decade since the original Macan’s debut, Porsche transitions into the model’s second generation with an all-electric design. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, highlights the model’s advancements in E-Performance, user experience, and design at its world premiere in Singapore. Jörg Kerner, Vice President Product Line Macan, emphasizes their ambition to make the all-electric Macan the “sportiest model in its segment.”
The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo are equipped with high-performance PSM electric motors on both axles, ensuring efficiency and power. The Macan 4, with a 300 kW power output, can reach 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while the Macan Turbo, boasting 470 kW, takes a mere 3.3 seconds. Both models exhibit top speeds of 220 and 260 km/h, respectively.
A notable feature of the new Macan is the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with an 800-volt architecture. This includes a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, facilitating rapid charging and efficient energy use. The innovative Integrated Power Box (IPB) further enhances the vehicle’s efficiency, combining multiple components into a singular, compact unit.
The design of the Macan reflects Porsche’s signature style, with sporty proportions and coupé-like lines. Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche, notes the model’s distinctive brand identity and adaptation to electric vehicle demands. The vehicle’s aerodynamics are optimized for range, featuring the Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) system.

Practicality and comfort are also central to the Macan’s design. Increased luggage space, two luggage compartments, and enhanced interior space cater to everyday usability. The interior design is quintessentially Porsche, combining digital and analog elements for a modern yet classic feel.
In terms of technology, the Macan boasts a cutting-edge infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS, multiple display screens, and augmented reality features in the head-up display. The vehicle is also equipped with the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system.
Driving dynamics are a focus, with features like Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) enhancing stability and handling. The Macan is also the first to offer optional rear-axle steering.
Since its introduction in 2014, the Macan has seen over 800,000 deliveries worldwide. With this new all-electric iteration, Porsche continues its success story, contributing to a more sustainable future while maintaining its commitment to performance and luxury. The first deliveries of the new models are expected in the second half of the year.
