Two British renewable energy leaders — UKSOL, a solar PV manufacturer, and Rolec, a pioneer in EV charging infrastructure — have entered a strategic partnership to accelerate the UK’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable mobility.
The partnership integrates Rolec’s proven EV charging technology with UKSOL’s high-performance solar solutions, enabling residential and commercial customers to power electric vehicles directly from renewable sources. Both companies share a focus on ethical procurement, local manufacturing, and environmental responsibility.
Combining Renewable Energy and Smart Charging
UKSOL has delivered thousands of MCS- and TÜV-certified solar panels across the UK and globally, reinforcing its reputation for reliability and technical expertise. Rolec, meanwhile, has supplied and installed over 390,000 EV chargepoints worldwide, backed by ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification and decades of engineering experience.
According to Andrew Moore, CEO of UKSOL, the partnership “unites our expertise in solar energy and electric vehicle charging to help accelerate the transition to low-carbon technologies.”
Expanding Access to Sustainable Infrastructure
Rolec has long provided solar-compatible EV solutions for homeowners, developers, and enterprises. This new alliance extends those capabilities through joint offerings for projects of any size, from residential systems to large-scale commercial installations.
Customers will benefit from over 40 years of combined renewable energy expertise, with options for fully funded, part-funded, or subscription-based financing through Rolec’s network of funding partners.
Business Impact and Future Growth
The collaboration provides tangible business value, reducing operational costs while supporting corporate sustainability goals. It opens new opportunities across multiple sectors — including retail, leisure, housing, and workplace charging — by offering future-proof, revenue-generating infrastructure.
Frankie Mellon, Managing Director at Rolec, emphasized that UKSOL “perfectly aligns with our vision through their focus on ethical standards and strategic partnerships that drive progress in green technology.”
Together, the two companies aim to deliver integrated, high-performance systems that optimize energy use, lower carbon emissions, and empower customers to “drive on sunshine.”
