As construction on the Blythewood facility progresses, Scout Motors is focusing on building its foundational manufacturing team. The first wave of hiring is for experienced Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians. These roles are essential for the installation, upkeep, and repair of the plant’s advanced automated equipment.

While these initial roles require at least three years of relevant experience, Scout Motors plans to introduce more positions for individuals new to the manufacturing sector. The company has already brought on more than 300 team members in South Carolina to prepare for the launch of its manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Maintenance Technicians will be tasked with supporting and troubleshooting automated systems, including PLCs and robotics, to minimize downtime. Key responsibilities involve maintaining complex Siemens automation systems, operating transport equipment, and working with engineering teams to optimize new technologies. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, precision, and collaboration.
