Škoda Auto has started series production of the all-electric Peaq at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, where the seven-seat SUV becomes the fourth model on a line that builds one vehicle per minute. In its top specification, the Škoda Peaq carries a 91 kWh gross battery — the largest traction battery the company has fitted to an electric vehicle — and a WLTP range of more than 398 miles (640 km). According to Škoda, the model had drawn almost 8,500 orders by the end of July, following its market launch in June.

Four Models, One Production Line
The Peaq is the fourth model currently built on the Mladá Boleslav line, which was originally designed for combustion-engine vehicles and has since been upgraded to accommodate fully electric models. The Enyaq was the first EV to enter production there in 2020, followed by the Elroq in January 2025.
The three electric models are built alongside the combustion-engine Octavia Combi. Since May 2026, the Octavia Combi has also been produced at the Kvasiny plant together with the Octavia liftback, which Škoda says allows it to shift the production mix between the two sites in response to market demand and supply chain disruption. That move freed capacity at Mladá Boleslav for electric vehicles, which made up almost 23% of all Škoda vehicles produced at the company’s Czech plants in the first half of 2026.

Producing four models – three of them fully electric – on a single line clearly demonstrates the skill and versatility of our team in Mladá Boleslav. How Was the Line Adapted for a Larger Vehicle?
The Peaq is the largest vehicle Škoda has produced since joining the Volkswagen Group, and fitting it onto the existing line required several physical changes. New, longer production skids were introduced to improve ergonomics and workplace safety, and a new manipulator was added to fit the third row of seats. Load capacity on the battery conveyors was increased by 110 pounds (50 kg).
The press shop, body shop, and paint shop each underwent targeted upgrades to maintain material flow through the process. The Peaq shares the Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform with the Enyaq and Elroq, which the company says enables production synergies with both models already built at the site.
Battery and Powertrain
Škoda Auto also produces the battery systems for the Peaq at its assembly plant in Mladá Boleslav. Specifications as stated by the company:
- Top battery: 91 kWh gross (86 kWh net), enabling a WLTP range of more than 398 miles (640 km)
- Second battery: 63 kWh gross (59 kWh net)
- Power outputs: 150 kW, 210 kW, and 220 kW across three variants
- Drive: Rear-wheel or all-wheel drive
- Drag coefficient: 0.249
WLTP figures are measured on the European test cycle and typically run higher than EPA-cycle numbers used in North America.
At 191.7 inches (4.87 meters) long with a wheelbase of nearly 118 inches (almost 3 meters), the Peaq is Škoda’s largest and most spacious SUV and the brand’s first entry in the large SUV segment. It introduces flush door handles, a panoramic roof with Dynamic Shade Control, and bidirectional charging to the model range, and offers up to 33.0 cubic feet (935 liters) of luggage space plus a 1.3-cubic-foot (37-liter) frunk.
Peaq and Epiq Double the Electric Portfolio
Alongside the Peaq, Škoda has launched the Epiq, an entry-level urban crossover produced in Pamplona, Spain, under the Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Core Electric Urban Car Family project. The two models double Škoda’s all-electric portfolio in 2026. The company says the additions will help it hold its position in the European market, where it reports ranking as the second-best-selling brand in the first half of 2026.
