ChargePoint renews its Sourcewell contract to deliver cost-effective EV charging infrastructure to 50,000 public agencies across North America, streamlining electrification for government and education sectors.

ChargePoint, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network provider, has been awarded a new Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract, enabling simplified EV charging deployments for over 50,000 public agencies across the U.S. and Canada. This marks the company’s third consecutive Sourcewell agreement since 2017, reinforcing its leadership in government and public-sector electrification initiatives.

Highlights

  • Third consecutive Sourcewell contract extends ChargePoint’s role in public agency electrification.
  • Up to 50,000 municipalities, schools, and agencies eligible for streamlined EV charging procurement.
  • Simplified purchasing process ensures compliance and cost efficiency through pre-negotiated pricing.
  • Supports public agencies’ sustainability and ESG goals through turnkey charging infrastructure.

Cooperative Contract to Accelerate Public Electrification

Under the new Sourcewell agreement, participating entities—including municipalities, transit authorities, and school districts—can procure ChargePoint charging stations, software, and services through a single, pre-approved purchasing framework. The contract eliminates the need for lengthy bidding processes, providing access to competitive, pre-vetted pricing and ensuring compliance with local procurement regulations.

“This latest agreement extends our longstanding relationship with Sourcewell to accelerate and simplify the adoption of EV charging solutions for local governments, schools, and other public agencies,” said David Vice, Chief Revenue Officer at ChargePoint. “Over the course of our relationship, we’ve enabled hundreds of Sourcewell member agencies to go electric, meeting their sustainability and ESG goals.”
