VinFast has launched a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Program in the United States, giving buyers of certified VF 8 and VF 9 electric SUVs the remaining balance of a 10-year/125,000-mile vehicle warranty and a 10-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty. The VinFast Certified Pre-Owned Program pairs every certified vehicle with a CARFAX history report and digital inspection documentation, giving buyers a transparent view of a car’s condition before purchase. Every vehicle also passes a 105-point inspection covering mechanical components, electrical systems, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and exterior and interior condition, the company reports. VinFast frames the program as a way to expand access to premium electric mobility at a more accessible price point while supporting resale values for its existing owners.

What the Inspection Covers
Factory-trained technicians perform the 105-point inspection before a vehicle enters the program, checking mechanical components, electrical systems, ADAS functions, and exterior and interior condition, along with other quality criteria, according to VinFast. Because battery health carries particular weight for EV buyers, the company says every battery pack is evaluated against its own performance standards to confirm driving range, durability, and long-term reliability. VinFast describes itself as among the few pure-play EV manufacturers to offer a dedicated CPO program.

Certified Pre-Owned buyers receive the remaining balance of VinFast’s 10-Year/125,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty — or 200,000 kilometers, depending on region — together with the remaining 10-Year/Unlimited Mileage Battery Warranty. VinFast pairs that coverage with its broader ownership ecosystem: 24/7 roadside assistance covering emergency rescue, towing, and flat-bed transportation, plus full compatibility with the VinFast companion app for vehicle management and access to more than 250,000 public charging stations across North America.
Where the Program Is Available
The program currently covers the VF 8 and VF 9 electric SUVs through participating authorized dealerships in nine states: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, and Texas. Dealerships can provide personalized consultation on available inventory, regional pricing, and financing.
