VinFast, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially introduced its mid-size electric SUV, the VF 6, to the Indonesian market. This launch represents a key milestone in VinFast’s efforts to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, bringing Indonesian consumers a fresh option in the booming electric vehicle sector. With appealing incentives for early buyers and a growing infrastructure of showrooms, service centers, and charging stations, VinFast is working to enhance the accessibility and convenience of electric mobility across Indonesia.

The VF 6, a B-segment electric SUV, is tailored to meet the demands of Indonesia’s popular mid-size vehicle market. The Eco trim boasts a 130 kW (174 hp) motor with a range of up to 480 km per charge (NEDC standards), while the Plus trim offers a 150 kW (201 hp) motor with a 460 km range. Both versions feature a 2,730 mm wheelbase, delivering interior space akin to larger C-segment models. Its sleek European-inspired design includes wing-shaped LED lights, dual chrome accents, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the VF 6 offers a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a D-cut steering wheel, and adjustable seats, blending comfort with smart technology. Safety features include an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with 22 functions, such as Adaptive Cruise Control and a 360-degree camera, ensuring robust protection.
VinFast sweetens the deal for early buyers ordering before June 30, 2025, with 20,000,000 IDR cashback, free charging at V-GREEN stations until March 1, 2028, and accessory gifts worth 13,345,000 IDR. Deliveries are slated to start in June 2025. The VF 6 also comes with a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty and an 8-year unlimited-mileage battery warranty, plus a buyback program offering up to 90% value after 6 months.
VinFast is bolstering its Indonesian footprint with 21 showrooms in cities like Jakarta and Bali, and plans for further expansion through dealer partnerships. The company aims to establish 30,000 charging ports by 2025, supporting its vision of a sustainable mobility ecosystem, reinforced by a forthcoming assembly plant in Subang.
