The ID.7 Tourer is not just the first of its kind in Volkswagen‘s line but also among the early electric estate cars in the UK’s upper mid-sized class. It features a sleek design that offers both space and energy efficiency, courtesy of its 0.24 drag coefficient. This model promises a range of 374 miles thanks to the 77 kWh battery, while future models like the Pro S are expected to extend this up to 425 miles with an 86 kWh battery.
The estate vehicle is well-equipped with modern amenities including LED headlights, roof rails, 19-inch alloy wheels, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo front and rear. Interior comforts are equally impressive, featuring premium materials, ergonomic seating with optional massage functions, and Volkswagen’s Wellness app, which tailors vehicle settings for enhanced occupant comfort.
The ID.7 Tourer also comes with several high-tech features, such as keyless entry, a luggage partition net, 30-colour ambient lighting, a heated multifunction steering wheel, and an advanced navigation system. An augmented-reality head-up display and rear-view camera further enhance the driving experience. For those seeking additional luxury, an optional panoramic sunroof with PDLC technology allows for electronic opacity control.
Volkswagen’s Director of Volkswagen UK, Rod McLeod, highlighted the vehicle’s appeal, stating, “Early reviews of the ID.7 Tourer have been really positive, with the car’s comfort and space in particular receiving lots of praise – and that’s before you consider its impressive range.”
As the ID.7 Tourer hits the market, it sets a new benchmark for electric estates, offering spacious, luxurious, and efficient travel options for both families and business users in the UK.
