Volvo Cars began customer deliveries of its fully electric EX60 SUV this week, starting with buyers in Sweden, with the automaker’s longest-range configuration rated at up to 503 miles on a single charge. More deliveries are expected across Europe in the coming weeks and months, according to Volvo Cars.
The five-seat EX60 is Volvo’s first entry into the mid-size segment of the global electric vehicle market. Order books remain open across Europe and have recently opened in the United States as well, though production and deliveries are set to ramp up through the second half of 2026.
“This is a huge moment for us and our customers,” said Erik Severinson, chief commercial officer at Volvo Cars. “After many thousands of hours and miles developing one of the most advanced cars on the market, seeing the first customers take delivery of their own EX60 feels especially momentous. We’re grateful to those customers who have already chosen an EX60 as their new car and look forward to many more joining them on the journey in the coming weeks, months and years.”

Range and Fast Charging
Across the EX60 lineup, the P12 AWD variant is the range leader at up to 503 miles per charge. According to Volvo, that figure beats recently revealed rivals and sets a new benchmark for the segment. The range rating is based on Europe’s WLTP test cycle; official EPA-rated figures for U.S.-spec models, which typically run lower than WLTP numbers, have not yet been published.
Charging is comparably fast: the EX60 can add up to 211 miles of range in 10 minutes on a 400kW fast charger, and the P10 AWD and P6 RWD variants charge from 10 to 80 percent in 16 minutes, according to the company.
Three Powertrains, Seven Variants
Volvo is launching the EX60 in three powertrain configurations:
- P12 AWD Electric — up to 503 miles of range
- P10 AWD Electric — up to 410 miles of range
- P6 Electric (RWD) — up to 385 miles of range
Across those three powertrains, the EX60 is available in seven total variants. Volvo says EX60 pricing is set in line with its best-selling XC60 plug-in hybrid, though the company has not disclosed exact EX60 pricing.
Built on Volvo’s New SPA3 Architecture
The EX60 is the first fully electric Volvo designed, developed, and built entirely in Sweden. It rides on SPA3, a new scalable product architecture that introduces manufacturing technologies including mega casting and cell-to-body battery integration, according to Volvo.
Order books for the EX60 remain open across Europe and have recently opened in the United States as well, ahead of the broader production and delivery ramp-up planned for the back half of 2026
