The order also includes 500 Volvo trucks equipped with highly fuel-efficient diesel and gas drivelines, with all trucks expected to be delivered between 2024 and 2026. These additions will significantly bolster DSV’s fleet, furthering its commitment to reducing carbon emissions.

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “I’m very proud to deepen the partnership we have with DSV. Collaboration and a strong commitment to really make a difference is essential for making sustainable transport and big CO2 reductions a reality. This order is proof of their trust in our company and shows that zero-exhaust emissions transport is a viable solution here and now.”

The new trucks, including the Volvo FH Aero Electric with enhanced aerodynamics, will make DSV’s fleet more energy-efficient. DSV, already a key transporter for the Volvo Group, has been using Volvo’s electric trucks in Sweden and Denmark, supported by their own charging infrastructure powered by solar energy.

Both companies remain committed to the Science-based Targets initiative, ensuring their actions align with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Since 2019, Volvo Trucks has delivered over 3,800 electric trucks across 46 countries, with a broad product lineup catering to various applications, from urban distribution to regional haul and construction. Volvo’s electric trucks have collectively covered more than 90 million kilometers in operation, underscoring their capability and reliability in the global market.
