Workhorse Group (WKHS), a pioneer in zero-emission delivery vehicles, lands its first fleet order for the W56 step van with California’s Mission Linen Supply. This 15-vehicle deal marks a key step in Workhorse’s commercialization efforts and signals growing demand for its electric last-mile solutions.
Mission Linen, a leader in linen and supply services for hospitality, medical, and industrial businesses, was drawn to the W56’s impressive capabilities. The van boasts a robust combination of:
- High Reliability: Built to endure the rigors of commercial use, the W56 offers a benchmark payload capacity of up to 10,000 pounds.
- Zero Emissions: Operating on battery power, the W56 helps Mission Linen reduce its environmental footprint while offering a quiet and efficient delivery experience.
- Spacious Functionality: With a large 1,000+ cubic foot cargo box, lowered step-in, and wide cabin door, the W56 prioritizes driver comfort and productivity.
- Ergonomic Design: The driver’s cabin is meticulously crafted for comfort and safety, ensuring optimal performance throughout long shifts.
“This order is a significant milestone for Workhorse,” stated CEO Rick Dauch. “After launching W56 production in September, we delivered a demo vehicle to Mission Linen within six weeks. Their field tests validated the W56’s capabilities, and we’re thrilled to partner with them and our dealer, Kingsburg Truck Center, on their electric fleet transition.”
Mission Linen’s Senior Manager for Fleet and Safety, Evelyn Scott-Phillips, echoed the enthusiasm: “The W56’s advanced technology and performance, coupled with Workhorse’s outstanding support, solidified our decision. We can’t wait to welcome these electric vans to our fleet in the new year.”
This deal adds significant momentum to Workhorse’s drive to electrify the last-mile delivery sector. With its focus on high-performance electric vehicles, drones, and integrated telematics systems, Workhorse is poised to revolutionize the way goods are delivered, one emission-free mile at a time.
