Kia Corporation has officially opened its first dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) Experience Center in Pyeongtaek, Korea. This new hub is designed to serve business customers and advances the company’s vision as a Sustainable Mobility Solutions Provider. The facility allows for the exploration of Kia’s PBV models in a single location.

Strategic Expansion of PBV Ecosystem
The opening of the PBV Experience Center marks a significant milestone following the completion of the Hwaseong EVO Plant East. This specialized production facility is central to Kia’s manufacturing strategy. The launch also follows the recognition of the PV5 as the 2026 International Van of the Year.
Kia aims to accelerate its ecosystem expansion by delivering tailored business experiences through this new center. The hub fosters collaboration on new business models and facilitates the co-design of conversion solutions with partners.
In November 2025, the center hosted the Global PBV Conversion Partners Day. The inaugural event welcomed 120 bodybuilders from regions including Korea, Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. This gathering highlighted the venue’s role in strengthening relationships within the commercial vehicle sector.

Facility Features and Visitor Experiences
The center offers immersive programs for both business clients and the general public. The facility is designed as a modular business platform suitable for networking and events. Visitors can utilize the following specific zones and programs:
- Complete PBV Showcase: This area displays various PBV models categorized by trim, purpose, and color, offering a comprehensive view of the lineup.
- Facility Tours: Business guests may access separate tours of the Hwaseong EVO Plant and the Namyang R&D Center.
- Test Drive Program: The center provides test drives featuring courses specific to each model.
- AR and Curation Technology: An AR Simulator allows users to explore designs via tablets, while a Curation Kiosk recommends models based on lifestyle.
- Customization Zone: This section showcases a wide range of PV5 custom accessories and personalization options.
Future Outlook
Kia plans to expand the center’s displays to include upcoming PV5 derivative models scheduled for launch in 2026. The PBV Experience Center will continue to serve a diverse audience, from general customers to business partners.
