Chery Automobile’s LUXEED brand has launched the V9, a flagship premium MPV the company rates for a CLTC-cycle combined range of 820 miles (1,320 km) from a 53.4 kWh battery paired with its Snowy Owl extended-range system. The company says the V9 officially reached the Chinese market in May 2026 as LUXEED’s debut flagship MPV, built on a dedicated platform the brand calls the Tuling Chassis. According to LUXEED, the launch is intended to reshape the competitive landscape of China’s high-end MPV segment and accelerate advancement across the premium MPV sector. The automaker also lists a WLTC fuel-consumption rating of 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers (34.6 mpg) for the range-extending engine, alongside what the company describes as the automotive industry’s first built-in vehicle oxygen generation system.

Futuristic Tech-Luxury Styling
The V9 measures 210.9 inches (5,359 mm) long on a 128-inch (3,250 mm) wheelbase. The company says its exterior pairs natural, minimalist surfacing with technology-forward detailing, highlighted by the Star Cluster Grille’s high-gloss chrome plating and the multi-layered Star Crystal Rear Lights. Aerodynamic surfacing gives the MPV a drag coefficient of 0.253, according to LUXEED.
The V9 also includes what the company calls the industry’s first sliding-door welcome light carpets, which use millimeter-wave radar to trigger lighting animations as occupants approach the vehicle.
Premium, Versatile Intelligent Cabin
Interior volume totals 213 cubic feet (6,033 liters), with a standard trunk capacity of 31.5 cubic feet (892 liters) that expands to 70.7 cubic feet (2,002 liters), the company says. The cabin includes 52 storage compartments and a built-in refrigerator that LUXEED says uses a long-duration cold-storage agent to maintain low temperatures even when the vehicle is powered off.
The dual independent second-row seats swivel up to 180 degrees to create a face-to-face configuration with a 34-inch foldout table, and offer a 45-degree welcome-tilt mode and a 90-degree panoramic viewing position, according to the company. LUXEED says the seats also feature a zero-gravity recline mode with a 123-degree maximum tilt angle, massage functions, active side-bolster support, and heated graphene panels, upholstered in Nappa leather with semi-aniline leather armrests over 15 layers of cushioning.
For noise and privacy, the V9 uses four smart privacy glass panels, retractable window shades, a panoramic sunroof blind, more than 538 square feet (50 square meters) of sound-absorbing material, and 13 pieces of double-laminated acoustic glass. The company says the cabin has earned dual certifications from the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute for wind noise and cabin quietness, and that a 21-sensor active noise-cancellation system adds further sound isolation.
Chassis, Handling, and Rear-Wheel Steering
The V9 rides on a front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link independent suspension with standard continuously variable damping shock absorbers; a dual-chamber air suspension is available as an option. Built on LUXEED’s MPV-specific Tuling Chassis Platform, the V9’s up to ±7-degree rear-wheel steering reduces the turning radius to 17.6 feet (5.35 meters), which the company says is tighter than some compact sedans. A low-speed crab-walk mode is also available for tight spaces.
LUXEED reports a wading depth of 19.7 inches (500 mm) and a 117.5-foot (35.8-meter) braking distance from 62 mph (100 km/h). The company also says the V9 is the first MPV to receive TÜV Rheinland’s Motion Sickness Relief accreditation, aided by a motion-sickness mitigation system that works with the rear-wheel steering to reduce lateral sway in corners.
Extended-Range Powertrain and Efficiency
Power comes from LUXEED’s Snowy Owl Intelligent Extended-Range System paired with the Giant Whale Battery Platform. The V9 houses a 53.4 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated combined range of 820 miles (1,320 km) and a WLTC fuel-consumption rating of 34.6 mpg (6.8 L/100 km), according to the company. As with other China-market cycle figures, CLTC and WLTC ratings tend to run higher than EPA-equivalent estimates; American readers should expect real-world range and fuel economy to differ.
The V9 launch adds to a busy stretch for Chery’s global lineup. The automaker has also introduced PHEV and ICE versions of the transformable Tiggo V SUV elsewhere in its portfolio, while its LEPAS marque has confirmed a UK launch for 2026.
