Nexen’s Expanding EV Portfolio
Nexen Tire launched its overseas OE business in 2012 and has since supplied tires to multiple global automakers. The company’s EV portfolio includes OE fitments for the Hyundai IONIQ 6, the Hyundai NEXO fuel cell vehicle, and Kia’s full EV lineup from the EV3 to the EV9.
The ELEXIO contract positions Nexen to build brand recognition in China, where local brand preferences are strong but OE relationships carry significant market credibility.
“Supplying OE tires for the ELEXIO marks an important milestone in demonstrating our electrification capabilities in the strategically important Chinese market,” said John Bosco Kim, CEO of Nexen Tire.
