The Renault 4 E-Tech electric will launch with three trim levels: evolution, techno, and iconic. An electric “plein sud™” opening canvas roof will be available for the techno and iconic versions at a later date. The vehicle emphasizes go-anywhere practicality through increased ground clearance and optimized suspension for a smoother ride.
Design elements throughout the vehicle pay homage to the original Renault 4. These include a unique single-piece illuminated grille (available from the techno trim) and a modern interpretation of the classic three-part rear lights. Other retro-inspired details include bonnet lines extending to the grille, the rear quarter window, three sculpted lines on the doors, and distinctive roof forms now featuring roof bars.
Inside, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric boasts generous cabin space, particularly for rear-seat passengers, thanks to an extended 2.62m wheelbase. The vehicle measures 4.14m in length, providing 16.4cm of knee room and 85.3cm of headroom for rear occupants. It offers an exceptional boot space of 420 liters, which includes a 55-liter underfloor area for charging cable storage. This versatile cargo space expands to 1,405 liters when the rear seat is folded down. The iconic models feature a hands-free power tailgate.
Technological features include Renault’s OpenR Link system as standard, with a 10.1-inch central touchscreen and wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® connectivity. Techno and iconic models upgrade to include built-in Google services, such as Google Maps with charging-optimized route planning, and a 10-inch digital driver information display.
The vehicle is powered by a 110 kW (150 hp, 245 Nm) electric motor and a 52 kWh battery, enabling acceleration from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph. A new One Pedal function, available from the techno trim, optimizes regenerative braking. Up to 26 advanced driver assistance systems are available, including active driver assist and blind spot monitoring. All models come standard with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Six body colors will be available at launch, with options for a contrasting black roof on higher trims.
