Sevadis has launched the MaxiCharger Gen2 range, an eight-device EV charging lineup that scales from a 7.4kW AC plug-and-play home charger to rapid and ultra-rapid DC units. The MaxiCharger Gen2 family is available in wall, pillar, and post formats with single, dual, or quad configurations, targeting shared, paid, and underground parking environments alongside residential installation. The company says the modular structure allows sites to scale as customer requirements change.

One Range Across AC and DC

The Gen2 lineup is built to cover residential, commercial, and public applications from a single product family. At the entry point sits a 7.4kW AC plug-and-play home charger; at the upper end are rapid and ultra-rapid DC stations aimed at shared, paid, and underground parking sites.

Configuration flexibility is a core part of the pitch. Units are offered in wall, pillar, and post mounting, and in single, dual, or quad port arrangements, which lets an operator standardize on one platform across mixed sites rather than sourcing separate hardware for each environment.

Installation and Commissioning

Each device uses what Sevadis calls Rapid Install technology, supported by the company’s Installer App. According to Sevadis, digital commissioning activates stations in seconds, with more detailed configuration handled remotely after setup.

Two hardware decisions target installer labor. CT clamps are integrated within the product housing rather than supplied as separate components, and SmartDock mounting retains commissioning data on the bracket — meaning a replacement unit can be clicked into place without repeating the setup process.

What Do SmartBox, SmartMesh, and SmartCloud Do?

The three technologies handle the connected layer of the platform. SmartBox addresses real-time site load management, SmartMesh provides wireless networking between units, and SmartCloud supports open integration with site management platforms. Together, the company says, they give operators portfolio-level control over charging assets — the same dynamic load balancing and energy management direction the broader AC charging market has moved toward.

A MID-approved meter is fitted as standard across the range for billing accuracy. Select models add a high-resolution color screen, which Sevadis positions as an advertising revenue opportunity for site hosts rather than a purely informational display.

Solar Charging and V2X Readiness

Solar Charging integration allows the chargers to draw on self-generated surplus renewable energy, which the company says can capture 100% of that surplus. Three modes govern the behavior: Fully Green, Prioritise Green, and Prioritise Speed, trading renewable share against charging rate.

Every Gen2 model is V2X enabled, with hardware prepared to support V2G and V2H functionality through a firmware update rather than a hardware replacement.
