Geely Auto Group’s new 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive has set two Guinness World Records, including a measured energy consumption of 8.20 kWh per 100 km (about 7.6 miles per kWh) in a battery electric sedan. The 800V system will debut on the Geely TT, and Geely Auto Group says it marks another step in developing more efficient, intelligent and scalable electric-drive systems. Developed with support from InfiMotion, the company’s core ecosystem partner, the drive unit combines core electric-drive hardware and functions into a single 75-kilogram (165-lb) package. Geely says the compact architecture simplifies the power-transmission path and reduces energy losses during delivery.

Compact 800V Architecture Cuts Weight and Losses
The Geely 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive is built on an 800V high-voltage platform that integrates the vehicle’s core electric-drive components into a single compact architecture. Geely says the design reduces overall system weight to 75 kg (165 lb), simplifies the power-transmission path and lowers energy losses during power delivery. Intelligent power-optimization technology, the company reports, helps the system reach a 93.8% CLTC comprehensive efficiency rating.
Qinghai Lake Run Sets Efficiency Record
In an energy-efficiency challenge around Qinghai Lake, a Geely TT equipped with the 16-in-1 E-Drive recorded measured energy consumption of 8.20 kWh per 100 km (about 7.6 miles per kWh). Geely says the result broke the Guinness World Records title for the lowest energy consumption circumnavigating Qinghai Lake by a battery electric-powered production sedan.
Performance and Durability
Beyond efficiency, Geely says the system is engineered for high-performance electric driving. It supports a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration with a combined output of 425 kW, enabling 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) acceleration in 3.8 seconds, according to the company. Integrated control and AI-assisted torque management are intended to sharpen throttle response and torque delivery under high-load conditions, Geely reports.
To support sustained output, Geely developed a 54-channel directional cooling technology that the company says can reduce maximum motor temperature by up to 15°C (27°F). The drive system also uses active lubrication for the shaft and gear structure to help maintain thermal stability, according to Geely. The system is engineered around a 5-million-kilometer (3.1-million-mile) durability target and has been validated at the component, assembly and full-vehicle levels, the company says.
In a separate performance challenge, the Geely TT completed a continuous twin-vehicle drift of more than 46 km (28.6 miles) on a wet surface, which Geely says earned a second Guinness World Records title for the longest continuous twin-vehicle drift on a wet surface by electric vehicles.
