An Expanding Track Taxi Program

Genesis launched Track Taxi Nordschleife in 2024, offering passenger rides around the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife, a 12.9-mile (20.832-km) circuit the company describes as having 73 corners and a constantly changing road surface. Since then, two modified G70 sport sedans have carried nearly 3,000 guests around the track, each with a professional Genesis driver at the wheel.

Genesis selected the G70 for the program based on its handling and performance character. The pair has now completed 1,300 laps of the circuit — 16,827.7 miles (27,081.6 km) — wearing through more than 180 sets of tires. The G70 Track Taxi is powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 365 hp (272 kW/370 PS) and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm), and Genesis reports 0-62 mph acceleration in 5.4 seconds.

Peter Kronschnabl, Managing Director of Genesis Motor Europe, said, “The launch of Track Taxi Nordschleife in 2024 was an important milestone in our brand journey. Introducing GV60 Magma to the programme is the next chapter in our growth strategy as we continue to invest across Europe. Now, fans and customers can experience the emotion and precision of Genesis’ exceptional all-electric performance on one of the world’s most demanding racetracks.”

GV60 Magma’s Performance Numbers

The GV60 Magma, Genesis’ first all-electric high-performance model, pairs two electric motors — one per axle — that each spin beyond 20,000 rpm, giving the all-wheel-drive SUV a combined 641 hp (478 kW/650 PS) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm). Genesis reports that with BOOST mode engaged, the GV60 Magma accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds, reaches 124 mph in 10.9 seconds, and tops out at 165 mph. The performance SUV rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tires.

Braking and Handling Built for the Nordschleife

To manage that output, GV60 Magma combines performance-optimized regenerative braking control with 400mm (15.7-inch) front disc brakes, monoblock calipers, and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Genesis reports the system brings the SUV to a stop from 62 mph (100 km/h) in 110.9 feet (33.8m), even under the demanding conditions of the Nordschleife.

A torque-vectoring system is designed to keep the GV60 Magma’s movements predictable and controllable under extreme driving conditions. An electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD) works alongside torque vectoring to actively distribute power between the front and rear motors, reducing understeer and oversteer on the circuit — a track nicknamed the “Green Hell.”

Cabin Details and Booking

GV60 Magma adds an electric Active Sound Design system (e-ASD) that generates cabin sound intended to mimic a combustion-engine tone. Front-seat passengers ride in the brand’s new 10-way bucket seat, a Magma-exclusive design developed for support and comfort during high-performance driving.

Online bookings for the Track Taxi Nordschleife experience with GV60 Magma are open now at tracktaxi-nordschleife.genesis.com. Prospective buyers can register interest in the GV60 Magma through Genesis’ website ahead of its European road debut later this year.
